Sonolith

Project Description

Sonolith is a sculptural exploration of sound translated into physical form, shifting our perception of audio from something invisible and fleeting to something tangible and lasting. Rather than being inspired, it is enabled by the convergence of countless hours of work across design, technology and craft, culminating in the ability to 3D-print sound as a physical object. This piece captures Neil Armstrong’s iconic words from Apollo 11, a quote that embodies both the spirit of the medium and the ethos of ANAGRAM itself. Sonolith stands as a testament to the time we live in, where art, design and technology intersect to create entirely new formats of expression, and as a reminder of the optimism that comes from daring to explore the unknown.
