Lounge chair

Project Description

Designed to feel both industrial and inviting, the Lounge Chair balances cold steel with the warmth of cushions, merging hardness and softness, fluidity and rigidity. The concept began as an exploration of extrusion beyond its usual scale, using a single cross section to form the structure of a lounge chair. This cross section integrates multiple functions, from the natural flex of the material for seating comfort to a rail system that allows cushions to slide in and out. The result is a piece that combines rawness with timeless simplicity, embracing longevity through durable materials and the ability to evolve with replaceable cushions. By celebrating weight, openness and material honesty, it hints at a future where furniture feels both enduring and adaptable, designed to be kept, cared for and reconfigured over time.
