Vestre x Jacques Cartier Studio x Anagram

IMMATERIAL 0001 is the result of a collaboration between Jacques Cartier Studio, ANAGRAM and Vestre, merging three distinct identities without compromise. Inspired by the incremental skeletons of historic boat-building, the form was reinterpreted through ANAGRAM’s far-fetched near future lens and brought to life by Vestre in its factory deep in the Norwegian forest. Presented at Paris Fashion Week, the bench embodies both grounded weight and fluid motion, appearing light from one angle and monolithic from another. Cold galvanized steel meets warm Swedish pine, with the contrast forming the soul of the piece.

In a cultural moment where authenticity and reality are constantly questioned, IMMATERIAL 0001 becomes a study in ambiguity. It oscillates between object and sculpture, familiar and unfamiliar, physical and conceptual. The piece is both a product and a provocation, reflecting how design can explore the uncertain space between what is real and what feels imagined.
